Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
just been looking at the cafe racer style kit for the curvy on the twin shack website, if i keep the sv when i get a new bike i think i might go down this route with it for something a bit different. Just really like the look of the old style with newish parts

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
Just had a look at that site for the first time..mmmmm
For me I would go for the rear end of the thing but go naked on the front with dropped bars....I just prefer those style cafe racers to the faired ones to be honest. TamSV's cafe racer is lovely example of what can be done....

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
Ahh the joys of being old with insurance
Last year paid £260 as a new bike... renewal quote £270... A quick look online this year £135 with all the usual good bits If only I could garage it |

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
My insurance just came through for Daisy £70.59
Rob that kit you've been looking at is from Poly 26 http://www.poly26.com/carenage-moto-...002_4-245.html (I think, I've not looked at TwinShack site for a while) I thought about that for my ol' SV, but the time you've bought it, fitted it and painted it, the wheels will look pants, 3 spoke on a retro bike? Then you've got to sort out you're insurance IMHO I think you're SV looks pretty good, you could easily devalue it. I was reluctent to sell my SV but my first ride on my new bike told me I'd made the right desision. I wouldn't mind an SV project though, so I can throw money at it trying to make a silk purse. Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
the cafe racer thing is just a possibility in the distant future if i still have the SV, chances are i'd end up getting rid of it if i get a different bike can't really justify keeping 2 bikes.
