I'm jealous. Never seen the Stones live. Tickets anywhere on the east coast of the US sell out in minutes since forever. Congrats! Enjoy!

Ticket bots buying up all the tickets to sell on secondary ticketing sites. That's why they sell out within minutes.

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
I was at a club cricket match on bank holiday Monday and the guy who runs the club introduced himself to me as he heard I do photography. I thought he was going to ask if I could take some pics of his team, but no, he is the Rolling Stones media manager. We chatted about our shared love of cricket and people we both know from when I worked for record labels. He then asked if I'd like to go to the London show to take photos of the Stones' first 3 songs from the photo pit. But of course that's the week I'm in Devon on holiday!
Oh well, still a good person to have in my contacts book. Maybe next time. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
My smile of the day is getting ready to set out on another bike adventure next weekend and this one is looking more adventurous by the day.
Got the SV all ready this afternoon. A bit of cleaning and tighten the the chain up just a tick. the challenges: My ankle on my shift foot continues to give me problems just a few weeks ago 2 hours riding was all it could handle, this trip will take 7 to 10 hours to reach my destination depending on traffic and (mostly) weather conditions. Going to be doing some exercises this week to promote movement in the ankle. It's the monsoon season here in the mountains and looks like another wave of activity will return next weekend. Looks as if Monday (if the forecasts holds) I will return amid heavy rains, flash flooding, and lightning storms all day. One of the two roads that cross one of the 6K ft. mountains on my way is closed for bridge repairs, a section of the other road washed away in flooding Saturday. If this is not fixed by the weekend I will have to take a different route much farther west for the last 70 miles which will put me in the path of the afternoon storms I want to beat there on Saturday. Studying maps tonight for alternate routes as weather could impact other roads at anytime. Definitely going to be using the satnav on this trip. Plus it's early spring high in the mountains so likely to see bear, deer, snakes, turkeys, and more along the roadway. My wife said "perhaps you should wait and go in August" (another bank holiday). What and miss all this excitement? I can't wait. Besides the waterfalls look their best during the rainy season! I'm ready for another epic ride. It's what life is all about!

This sounds brilliant Bill. I always get itchy feet at this time of the year, wanting to get away on a longer trip.
Can't wait to read the account and see all the pictures. |

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
Hope the weather is not too biblical for you Bill. There's nothing like getting out for an adventure at this time of the year now it's a bit warmer. I thoroughly enjoyed my six hour backroads trip a few weeks ago to see my folks and hope to do similar later this year to see father in law. It's also way more interesting if you know you may need to change plans on the fly too. Good luck with the exercises.

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
I'm off to France for a few days this weekend. Staying in Albert and visiting the war memorials. Only a mini adventure but looking forward to it.
