Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
The wife told me i might aswell keep the SV when i get a new bike as i've probably spent more on it than its worth but with 2 young kids i struggle to get out on one much never mind getting time to take 2 bikes out. No point keeping a bike thats just going to sit in the garden under a cover, maybe if i had a garage to store it in it would be different.

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
Well, ive been out for my first ride, cant ride more that 15 mins at a time cos having to concentrate so hard to focus my eyes makes my head want to explode but the bike is FANTASTIC!!!
Way beyond what I was expecting - its smoother, more balanced, more planted and totally confidence inspiring. A huge step up from the TT even though they were supposed to be 'equivalent' bikes. And the can sounds proper LOUD So far ive had the seat and fairings off, cleaned the c&s, removed the darned 'idiot' stickers (even if they are appropriate!), and given her a clean and polish. None of it was really necessary because it was already spotless! Monday will see the arrival of the new dark dbl bbl screen, headlight unit is due later in the week. Just need rim tape (i know, i know....) tank protector and yoke protector. Shes an absolute babe (if a little colourful) and I couldnt be happier. Only problem so far was taking the bit of tape of the can to find underneath the dreaded words 'NOT FOR ROAD USE' oops!!!! Still, who gives a ****? The guy whos MOT'd her up to now is just down the road in Sandy so i'll just keep taking it back there! At the moment she looks like this: Attachment 8692Attachment 8693 Last edited by kellyjo; 14-06-11 at 03:57 PM. |
