I'd be very surprised if he was completely innocent in it all. It's hard to punch someone in the face who is walking away.
The whole thing will have done his career no good at all. Seems like a drama queen to me, who goes to A&E over a burst lip unless they are trying to make a fuss over something? That said, I wouldn't expect to be punched in the face at work and have nothing come of it. Well, except that time at the Christmas party. That was different. |

Round here if anyone suffers an injury the First Aiders pretty much make you go to A&E or they call an ambulance. If you suffered a cut lip but it turns out you'd also taken a blow to the head then collapsed later the company would be liable. They would definitely have had a first aider in the crew and probably also one at the hotel.

split lip commonly needs stitches.
It wasn't the producer who complained to the BBC, according to all the reports I've read, so not pressing charges either seems to be consistent.

We've got a channel called Dave over here that just shows repeats. It seems to constantly show old episodes of Top Gear.
