Ah thats better. I was soaking wet, cold and hungry by the time I got back. The wind was blowing a hoolie and the turbines were spinning like spinny things but I had a great run and feel bloody great for it.

Its always a massive psychological boost when you run against bad weather.

Yes mate, it really works. I had a bit of a bad week or so were I didnt run for one reason or other. I'm back in the groove now and tonight was a great boost.

HR training takes the guess work out of selecting the correct race pace.

Just knocked out a 10k with some fastish 1 mile intervals. My leg still doesn't feel quite right though.

Knee is fooked. Don't think I'll be running for an unspecified duration again.

Right, this may sound like a stupid question but!
Do running socks wear out at all? I bought them 4 months ago and they stopped blisters from occurring during my runs, but i seem to be suffering with them again?
Got back from a 4.85 mile run with Hubby tonight and i have one right on the ball of my foot and its very uncomfortable.
Suggestion welcome please?

Are they the double skinned version? Invest in a pair, they're fantastic.

I'm in Falmouth at the moment. It's so hilly here, I swear that there isn't a flat street in the town. So 5.07 very hilly miles in 48.08 mins. Not just hills, it's blowing a howling gale out on the seafront and it was hard to make any progress at all. Bit disappointed about the pace, I thought I was doing a bit better, perhaps it was cos of the huge Cornish pasty for lunch that I could still feel sat in my tum
