Done no running for the last couple of dyas, but on the bright side I'm at the Nurburgring Steak, beer and schnitzel in prep for next week's marathon

Do running socks wear out at all? I bought them 4 months ago and they stopped blisters from occurring during my runs, but i seem to be suffering with them again?
Got back from a 4.85 mile run with Hubby tonight and i have one right on the ball of my foot and its very uncomfortable.
Suggestion welcome please?
Yep they do wear out and feel very different - Hilly Twin Skins as Ed suggested are very good.

I also have a blister on the ball of my foot and have never had one previously?

Ed - Do you ever get good weather when you go to Falmouth?

Tim - What marathon are you doing?

Sarah - Have you started your taper yet, or is your last run tomorrow? Be careful and relax. Oh and stock up on echinacea, to keep the taper madness induced colds at bay!

Just my local route in training, along the coast from Wallasey to West Kirby and back. 8 weeks or so to Edinburgh now.

I'm going to limp out a 20 tomorrow too, might try a slow hilly-ish one.

Not enough carbs for me tonight cupboard is empty!

I ran 8.5 miles today and it was mostly hill and my feet are wrecked.
