Re: The running thread!
Rah for the Cornish pasty too, you cant beat a Philp's pasty from the Hayle bakery. One of those and it finishes you off for the day lol.

Re: The running thread!
I used Hilly Twin Skins, they work but have no real padding. I tried the 1000 Mile Socks (also twin layer) and they felt much better to me.

Re: The running thread!
I might venture out tomorrow if the wind and rain have stopped
I used to run up Swanpool Hill here, I haven't done it for a while, so will have a crack at it. It's very steep PV - this pasty was from the Oggy Oggy Pasty Shop, in Arwenack Street (Falmouth). Yum yum *burp* |

Very sensible mate! You have done enough mileage not to worry about it. Rest it and commence the taper madness! Last edited by krhall; 04-04-10 at 04:02 PM. |

Re: The running thread!
Kebab and chips seems to have helped with my exercise related lethargy.
Flymo are you on target for your marathon? That's a sub-4 right there so I am guessing you are going for quicker? Sarah - how do you feel now? |

Re: The running thread!
I did a hilly 7 today, I attacked Swanpool Hill but it kicked my backside. Oh how unfit I am. I ran up the hill, then cos I'd had the pain of the uphill I turned round and had the fun of the downhill with spectacular views over the sea. Then along the seafront and back through the town, the entire last mile is uphill. Back in 1.03. I used to be able to do that loop in about 53 mins. Is it age? Lack of training? Or what?

Re: The running thread!
ED - lack of training! (oh and maybe a few fags)
Sarah rest it for a few days, it won't hurt your marathon. Plenty of RICE treatment and try some gentle stretches. How's the recovery Flymo? |
