Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
My body clock just does not understand Saturdays. I'm always awake by 6 as that's programmed in to me as getting-up-for-work time and I can never get back to sleep. Well, today I had the day to myself and the weather forecast was cloudy but warm and dry all day so I headed out towards the south coast. Hayling Island seafront was deserted so there was plenty of space in the cafe where I stopped off and had brekkie.
Popped in to Loomies on the way back for a cuppa and got chatting to the Royal British Legion bikers who had a marquee in the car park. They hunted through their box of goodies for me. Yes, they did have just one poppy-shaped sidestand puck left so that was a result! Been trying to get one for ages after seeing them at a show and suggesting Lady Poppy (yes it is a bit of a spooky coincidence) get me one for my Chrimbo stocking from their website, which was closed by the time she went to have a look... Then it rained on and off for the last 20 miles home which is a shame as Hugh has never seen rain before today. Nice morning out anywho

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
Sounds like a top day Sir Trev
I get confused as to what day of the week it is since i retired. It doesn't help that the days I do work vary so there's no routine to follow. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
There's been a mini crime wave in my town recently, several cars broken into and petty thefts.
Guess what. Got the ba$tards on my CCTV, man walking across my garden to try the very well locked gates at the side, and a female coming onto the drive to look into the car to see if there was anything worth pinching (there wasn't), this at 5.30 on a Sunday morning. Police know who they are from the footage. They will be helping with their enquiries shortly.

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
After my gripe of the day last week things are improving. Caught up on my sleep a bit, got out for a good run with an old friend this morning, my friends dog has gone home, and I have sensible levels of work organised for next week, with the possibility of a regular stint of 2 days a week part time.

Equilibrium is restored. Skimbleshanks is home. He's stuffed his face, headbutted Mabel the lurcher several times, and is now sprawled on one of the girls beds.
