The change in rules got scrapped for this year and will only be used in 2010 if all teams agree, so it won't happen.

SVs speedo's stopped working. Why does getting to the connections have to involve taking the airbox off?

Think yourself lucky. I took the SV out on Sunday and spent 2 hours waiting for recovery with total electrical failure.

Rather stupidly I was wishing it was an issue that had self cured it's self. Bike has been off the road for a couple of months, during this time it has been on the optimate. It started first press of the button. Took it for a spin switched off and started it again. No problems. Took it to get some fuel and again no starting problems. Took it out for a 40 mile run. Switched off tried to start again, nothing. All electrics dead. So obviously the drain is permanent and the longer I ride the quicker the drain.

Oh well.

Temporary fix would be a heavy duty switch on the live feed to isolate the battery when not in use. Have you put an ammeter on the circuit to see what the drain is?

You are talking to mr incompetent when it comes to electrics. Mechanics I can do. Electrics I'm embarrassingly dumb.
