Re: The All New Megathread
Just got back from visiting the parents in Norfolk. With a bit of luck it will stay dry long enough tomorrow for me to cut the lawn and maybe go out for a blast on Hugh.

Re: The All New Megathread
It's been miserable here in Shrewsbury although we went to Oswestry this morning and it was miserable there too. Drizzle.

Re: The All New Megathread
Good weekend over in Brum with Sioned. Trip to Castle Bromwich Hall gardens yesterday with Mabel for their monthly Canine Cafe. Very pleasant if slightly drizzly amble around the gardens, followed by tea and lemon drizzle cake, and lots of dog treats for Mabel.
This morning we got on the train to Sutton Coldfield for a walk in Sutton Park, then a large vegan breakfast at the Quinto Lounge in the town. Fuss free train journey back to Welshpool this afternoon. Very enjoyable couple of days, but I'm pretty knackered now. Being in the city does take it out of me..... |

Re: The All New Megathread
Drizzle has reached us today, on and off, so I've spent the morning pulling out all the little bits and pieces stashed away in the garage for a bit of a clear out. My wife keeps asking if I'm OK as I stand there for five minutes staring at an oddly shaped, very dusty light fitting I must have kept for some reason or other ten plus years ago. No idea why as we don't have anything like it anywhere in the house... The rubbish bag and pile for recycling for next time I pluck up courage to go to the dump (and argue that it's household rubbish and not chargeable DIY waste) are both growing. On the upside, I now have shelf space again for those things I really should hang on to, you know, just in case

Re: The All New Megathread
I'm trying to clear the living room so I can paint it. Son in law helped move the heavy stuff yesterday.

Re: The All New Megathread
I've been making the most of the good weather here and getting on with the garden. Dug a pond last week, and today I've just finished moved turf from where I don't want it (in the back garden) to where I do want it around the edge of the pond in the front garden. Now just about to sow a wildflower meadow seed mix on the front garden.
I'll put some pictures and an update in the Veg Plot thread later. |

Re: The All New Megathread
Morning orgers, time to make the most of the reasonable weather before the rain arrives this evening. A trip to the recycling centre for me, and then back in the veg garden.
