Re: The All New Megathread
Happy and sad day for me today. After six years I'm considering changing my T100 but what to get? Another SV650 was always possible so it was off to a reasonably local dealer this morning for a test ride. It was SO nice to spend 40 minutes on one of these lovely bikes again and it ticked so many boxes. But, the pegs are just a bit too high for me at my age and though I'd doubtless get used to their position I equally think I'd get sore knees quite quickly.
Riding Hugh home again, via a very indirect route as it was a lovely day, made me appreciate the upright riding position and low pegs I have right now. Ah well, I'm in no rush. Interestingly the dealer thought there would be a road-biased Strom 800 out later this year. The front end of the 650 Strom is not for me and sear height of the 800DE is way too high, so we'll have to see how much lower Suzuki can make the new model.

I still miss that bike, even though my Gen 3 is better in most respects. |

Re: The All New Megathread
I've just endured two days of window fitters in the house... On top of that the builders doing next door's extension and some guys building a ramp for the elderly couple across the road means I've had a badly disrupted time of things. I'm utterly frazzled! The noise has at times been horrendous and I ended up for a while yesterday with my Ultimate Ear custom moulded plugs in. It helped a lot but I was just jittery, which was not pleasant.
The new windows look really nice (for the price they flippin well should be) but I'm so glad there's only one more day of this left to go. Just cannot relax or get on with work properly. As I need to moan about how they've left the patio doors as well I am not looking forward to day three at all.

Re: The All New Megathread
There's no way I'd leave them unsupervised in my house...

Re: The All New Megathread
Morning Gary. I may have to get the sprinkler out this weekend as the soil in the veg garden is starting to look very dry.

Re: The All New Megathread
Morning Trevor. I'm having to water the veg plot every few days here too. I watered last night and now I've put a load of straw down around the spuds as a mulch to try and conserve moisture in the soil.
