Carp IT. Works PC is currently running at 100% CPU usage and I cant get any of my pay systems to open, or more importantly googlemaps. How am I meant to work out a route for tomorrow if googlemaps won't open?

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
I've gone blind in my left eye (can still see some light) and will be a few weeks before they can do surgery.
And when that one is fully healed the other will need the same surgery. And likely i have diabetes. Checking that next week. Oh and business sucks today. I think thats about it .

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
Blimey Bill, sounds like you have more right than the rest of us to have a bit of a gripe. Hope your eyes get sorted without too much fuss. Was the eye condition a result of the possible diabetes?

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
Thanks everyone.
Because the eye went from blurry to blind in 2 days they sent me to the hospital last night thinking I had hemorraging behind my eye. Was not so no emergency surgery. Have cataracts in both eyes and another problem where all the pigment in both eyes has been scraped off. I have clear eyes now LOL. The colour your see is the back of my eye. The flakes of pigment have to be burnt off with a laser after the lens is removed. Good news is both eyes are fixable and should return to having good vision. You have a choice in the lens they put in your eyes which is also the choice of when you want to wear glasses. I chose the one that you'll need glasses for reading so I won't have to wear them whilest riding/driving etc. They also told me was rare but they had seen cataracts get bad quickly like that before and the type I have occours in diabetics 98% of the time and I neded to have that checked the next day (today) but I was not able to see the Doctor as they were all booked up for today. So went by a friends house after work who is diabetic and she checked my sugar level and it was 79 which is really good (she said) so I don't likely have diabetes as they said. Will have the Dr. check it as well but not so worried now. Perhaps I should take up a new hobby before the operation. Being already stupid and hard of hearing, now that i'm blind, I might could play a mean pinball.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
Fingers crossed for you Bill, sounds like you're having a rough run of it!
My gripe is trivial by comparison. Clients that will not accept there is a limit to what can be achieved and keep agreeing a course of action to get them what they need in time and then reverting back to wanting the moon on a sick the next day. It is exhausting. Jambo Sent without a real keyboard
