Bar conversion with pics

There are several people with out whom, many of these modifications would not have been possible or half as easy to do as they were. I had an accident at work just before I passed my bike tests and that accident has left me with a damaged neck, shoulder, arm and hand. Yet with a few modifications, this bike has really turned out well. So in no particular order, this is the list of thanks to all those who helped me turn my standard K3S into a sports touring super Jayney bike.

Thank you for kind words, it has been so much fun, I do feel kind of deflated now that I have done everything I wanted to do to her. She is my work horse, so she will never be super clean or ultra bling, but I am so happy with the work we have done.

There is the job of fine tuning the suspension set up perfectly for me, at the moment it is close, but I hope to be able to see a friend of mine about getting it done with his help. YC gave me some general tips, but I do not know enough to expand upon that and again he lives so far away that even his mighty hands cannot reach far enough.

I joked with a friend yesterday that I can bore the engine out to 750CC before the crank snaps! But to be honest, she has more than enough power for me and if I want to ride a brutal high powered beast I can borrow the wife's 1100 Kwak. So it will just be the usual little things that get done, she is due another valve check soon because she is getting close to 30K on the clock. Lance is developing his beautifully made speedo adapter and has said that he has another rotor in the works for me to play with.

Warning:- This bit is a bit girly!

The big achievement for me at the moment is that I am carefully dieting, after many months on medication that caused me to pile on enough weight that I almost doubled is size. So now my leathers fit again.
In fact my belt does not have enough holes and there is not enough room to add more to make it smaller because of the metal studs in it (yes I know, I am rock chick cliché!). I will never be young again, but hopefully I can be thin!

Well done of getting all this done Jayne, it's been lovely to watch. I like Lance's rear speedo pickup, I think Northwind did something similar back in the day and remember thinking how much neater it looked. Classy.

I have a couple of very minor niggles to work out with the bike, I have a very slight "chatter" on the front fork that I think is the rebound damping in need of adjustment. However on a more serious ride today I discovered that it works really well.

The new fork just takes the harshness out of every small bump on the roads and even large one potholes. It is lovely. The rear shock is now almost equalled in terms of gorgeousness.

How do I know this? How about a trip up the gorge...
