I have finally got to the bottom of the SV electrical problems. Or at least I think I have.

With the engine running 18V is being chucked into the battery. I guess that means the reg/rec is fubar. The unfortunate thing is it has killed my clocks.

I feel a vapor unit coming on.

Ooo...that looks like good fun. Do you know how much those tours are? A random day tour during a beach holiday would be worthdoing.

There may be a fuse thats on the circuit board that might have blown and protected the clocks.

Local 3 hour tour is 99 euros, wider five and a half hour tour is 140.

I'm going to try and get one done early in the week and if it's good I might try and squeeze a second one in.

Well shock me with a revelation. The SV lives once again. A new reg/rec and it starts first push of the button. However, I can confirm the clocks have expired. There is no internal fuse to protect the circuits. It's dead as the bike has been for the past few months. I have also lost all electrics to the indicators and the rear light. Still working on that one. I can see a Halfords push bike speedo going on again until such times as I can afford a replacement. I have front lights though. . Forgot to check the horn.

Was a very sweet feeling giving the throttle a few blips letting the neighbourhood know what to expect. I almost forgot just how loud it is.

So I'm a cheery person. Is that so bad? Even your funny Northern ways bring an upturn to my lips

Anyway when I'm miserable I'm REALLY miserable and you don't want to see that.
