Re: Vintage film cameras
It's GAS. You think you can handle it. You think one more won't hurt. The truth is NO ONE CAN HANDLE THE GAS

Re: Vintage film cameras
Admin - the fever takes hold! ... and once you get the A1, you'll need some nice glass for it.
Kenzie, I'm interested to know about in the battery adapter you printed out. How did you do that? Remember you can get the 1.4v hearing aid batteries which are closer voltage to the mercury originals and might mean you don't have to worry about compensating for difference when using LR44s. They don't last so long but they are pretty cheap |

Re: Vintage film cameras
I measured the battery that should have gone in an created with a 3d modelling programe a circle 15.9mm diameter, I then measured the diameter of the LR44s and created a smaller circle inside the larger one. I then made it 3d to a height of 11mm and then printed it. Will post a pic in a mo.

Re: Vintage film cameras
That's really neat. Much more advanced than my rolled-up piece of card.

Re: Vintage film cameras
We have a 1940s day here on Saturday, not sure what it involves exactly but there will be some vintage cars at the pub, various things on in the shops, halls etc. I've been asked to take some pictures, think they may be overestimating me! Got half a dozen pix left in my Super A so will keep the 28mm lens on it in case it's useful, and just put a roll in my K2 with 50mm which will get most of the use I think, save changing lenses on the offchance that 50mm is too long. Might actually make use of a bag as I was going to take a flash just in case, and possibly go Full Metal Kenzie and take my Ensign folder, which could double as a prop. Hopefully there'll be plenty going on, and hopefully the patience of wife and spawn don't run out too quickly!

Lol!
I don't think I have anything specific from the 1940s in the collection, got a couple from the 30s. I bet you will get some looks with a folder though. Got this coming: 192208744184 And this arrived today: 263010073549
