Re: The All New Megathread
Well done Trevor! Sounds like you need a trip up here for a ride on some Welsh tarmac, so we can assess the difference.

Re: The All New Megathread
John - you're quite right. I was seriously thinking of changing bikes at the start of the year but nothing clicked or fitted me as well as Hugh. Even though my bill this morning at Stewart's made me wince a bit, it was CONSIDERABLY less than a new bike.
Gary - would love to head over the border for another blatt round your neck of the woods but the weather, now I have a few days off, has of course changed... and my diary is a bit full for the next few weekends. Next year for sure!

Re: The All New Megathread
Remind me Trev, which bike do you have? Sounds like money well spent on the upgrades! Happy days.
I got my cruise control fitted. Took the quick route home as the weather was against me. Having it set to 70mph on the dual carriageway is so helpful. Not having to tightly grip the throttle at that exact position and not having to constantly look down at the speedo. On longer trips it must be brilliant. Got rained on a lot on the way home, so quickly gave the bike a wash and it's now in the conservatory drying off via the dehumidifier. The rain is going to be on all night going by the forecast. |

No cruise control option on the T100 but as I use it in my car a lot I can see how it would be good on a long ride. Hope you get chance to fully test it out soon. It's due to start raining here from tomorrow afternoon...

Re: The All New Megathread
I have to go into town to do some shopping (I lead an exciting life!) and was going to go in on the bike. The weather is looking pretty dubious now though, so it'll be the car instead.

Morning all. Dismal, wet, and grey out there this morning. A day for indoor activities I think.....

It's been throwing it down here for the last couple of hours, and still is.

Re: The All New Megathread
Just started here. Seeker alerted me to this handy live weather radar, which shows rainfall and wind direction. Very helpful when deciding when to nip out for a spin, and how long you might have before it rains:

Re: The All New Megathread
I drove to Lincoln this morning at 8:30 and the rain was clearing, we now have the sun trying to break through although I see the rain coming but it's 3 hours or so away.
Another useful site if you have a fascination about the weather (as I do), is the visible light satellite images: http://en.sat24.com/en/gb/visual This is another visible light website which runs smoothly after the first pass (and sat24 is sometimes down) https://www.meteoblue.com/en/country...ingdom_2635167
