Re: The running thread!
Mainly clothes, perhaps a GPS watch, a running specific/fell running back pack and browse some shoes (although I'll buy these from ashop, I prefer to try and buy at the same time).

Re: The running thread!
I'm back on the running again. 2 miles three times a week (will start upping it again after next week).
As I've stopped drinking by-and-large (2 bottles of becks last night- my only booze in the last 2 weeks), I'm feeling super motivated. That and the chinese tea I drink when training, I've lost about 6 pounds in the last 3 weeks. Nice. Thinking of entering the Breakfast Run next year- 8.2 miles not 16!! |

Re: The running thread!
Kingston-Upon-Thames- 27th March. It's a run from the market place, round the high-streets, over the bridge and down to Hampton Court along the towpath, then down to the Scilly Isles (near Esher) and straight back up to Kingston again. 2 loops for the 16 miles...
http://www.humanrace.co.uk/events/ru...kfast-run-2011 They do the same run, billed as the Kingston Running Festival, around October time. I'm not sure if I'll get as far as running 8 miles by then, but It'll give me a goal. last time (6 years ago!) I did it in 1 hour 27. Slowed to walking regularly after 4 miles, but glad I attempted it!! I'm really chuffed though- got my 2 miles down to 18:28 tonight- after 20:52 a week ago Monday. Not bad for a Friday!! Even with a short walk- though at that pace, I understand why! |
