Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
I did a couple of observed rides at the end of last year with the Northampton IAM. It was useful to get some constructive criticism on my riding and see some of the roadcraft techniques in action.
It's all common sense really, but you might be surprised at how many you hadn't thought about before. Whilst I can understand speedplay's cynicism (there is a certain amount of "religious" fervour from some of the IAM members), anything that makes you think about how you ride and how you are perceived on the road is useful in my opinion. kj - when you go to your first IAM meeting you'll get a trial observed run without having to commit to anything (well I did at least but I'm pretty sure it's the standard way they do things). |

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
Just a quick thanks to SvRich and Maviczap for today.
Rich, a massive thanks to you and your wonderful family for your hospitality, entertainment via the kids and for doing the driving. Richard, just getting started on the beers now mate But you know you really didn't have to. I've met some great guys on this forum. Let's all stay safe and meet up more often. |

My pleasure mate, glad you got home ok, as soon as I got nearer home the skies cleared.
I'll be having a drink later Rich, thanks for driving us there today, for the cups of tea, and your children & dog for the entertainment.

Im 'glad' you guys made it to the funeral today, however it must have been very emotional and difficult. I just hope the jolly green giant knew we were thinking about him, and knew how much we all adored him

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
My pleasure. If only it was under happier circumstances.
It has been a very odd day. Extremly hard to put it all into some sort of order. It was truly moving to see the number of people attending the service today. He is a young man who will never be forgotten. |

Yes, even as I drove home, I still couldn't sort it out in my head.
