With my new training programme I'm going to have to do some short runs in the morning before going to work.
So what's the best option, up and run straight away? Eat some breakfast and then try and run? Iron a shirt and sort a few things before running but eat after? Any advice/opinions welcome, it's just a 5km run for now. |

i run first thing in the morning before work
sit down for 10 mins with a cup of strong black coffeethen go.

Well I just got up and went (after attempting a PRP but failing), I made sure I warmed up and stretched properly, first ten minutes were a bit of a struggle but once into it and awake I was fine.
Followed by a lower body cold soak in the shower I now feel pretty refreshed and wide awake. Morning running could be the way forward, especially for the shorter runs. |
