Re: Vintage film cameras
Nice, thanks. How does the meter respond? Looks like it's showing no life but I can't make out where the aperture setting is, the funny numbers on the dials look like DIN film speeds? I guess it works in manual anyway?

Re: Vintage film cameras
Mine appears to work ok in manual, although that was just dry firing. Nice camera though.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Does your meter work?
https://www.photo.net/discuss/thread...raisal.236108/ Set to A on the front and 1/300 and then read off the top plate the selected speed |

No, my meter is dead.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Am asking them if the meter works then we'll see. It's set in the ad to automatic, f11/ISO200 and is indoors (from the cryptic Italian manual) so would be well underexposed. Fingers crossed.

Re: Vintage film cameras
They seem pretty rare, might be worth getting even without a working meter.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Battery chamber modded to take 3x AAA batteries in a flashlight holder. Original type batteries are £11.99! Took my Tamron 18-200 and Sigma 55-200 to London Camera Exchange and part exchanged them for the autofocus version of the Tamron 18-200. I picked up the wrong lens type when I first bought the Tamron. So much better now.

Re: Vintage film cameras
That's a neat fix on the Land Camera. The local Oxfam shop had a Canon A1 in but they were wanting £85.
I tidied up the MG1 this afternoon. Cheap vodka cleans them up nicely and is much better than lighter fuel for getting old foam out. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
I had to cut out some plastic but it's neat enough and easy to fit new batteries. Checked two Poundland stores in Norwich and no film.
Sure you don't want the A1 back?

Re: Vintage film cameras
Absolutely sure! It's yours.
I'll try the York Poundland on Monday. |
