Very wet here. Lots of surface water flooding caused by blocked drains.

I think we're likely to see flooding around this area in all the usual places. I would imagine that the road past Welshpool International () Airport is already under water!

Oh my stars, what a nightmare journey home from Norfolk. The winds were not too bad but pounding rain meant very slow going for most of the first half. So many morons crashing, a fallen tree blocking the road, a weird sat-nav route round some villages to avoid flooding... Once I passed Stansted it dried up but the usual three hours was almost 5. Time for a stiff drink I think.

That doesn't sound at all like fun Trevor. I think you've earned your drink!

I stayed well clear of the rain today. Baked a Christmas cake instead.

We're good thanks Gary, Mel is over her bout of covid. Luckily it was short lived and not as nasty as the last bout.

We had some real rain here and almost had river flooding, which would have been a first! The rain didn't seem that bad but was heavy, I think it persisted for many hours. Our local small rivers had flows I've never seen in the 22 years I've lived here! I walked the dogs next to one the other day and the tide mark is 4-5 feet above anything I've seen before and a huge amount of fallen trees that had been in the river for years have been washed down stream! I'm surprised there was not serious flooding in the Clwyd catchment this time.

I went to Whitchurch at the weekend, and was amazed to see the fields either side of the A41 had been transformed into lakes. Never seen that before.
