Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
What a lovely day it was today, I was actually happy with fly splat everywhere today, it wont last though!
I meandered all over, first tank took me out to Hunstanton and east along the coast, as expected there were shed loads of bikes out on the road today...this was the seen at Hunstanton around 11ish: Does this mean summer is actually here now then?

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
The rain pelting the building here in Norwich right now tells me otherwise!

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
Was s'posed to have my second IAM ride today but my Harley-riding observer cancelled cos hes off to france tomorrow and didnt want to get all his kit soaked today. Probably a wise move, i went out anyway and got hailed on by stones the size of golf balls!
However, it was my first ride since his first observations and its made a huge difference already. I was absolutely focussed on my riding whereas normally my minds wandering all over the place thinking of everything but the ride. Its slowed me right down too, which is fine because it gives me thinking time. The upshot is that i already feel more confident and safer than i have for ages. I had felt like it was just a matter of time til I made the mistake that would have me off, but now i feel in control and calm and enjoying being back on the bike again. Hopefully in time it'll get faster but if not then so be it! |

Well done Kelly. It's the start of your biking enjoyment returning. Maybe you could make a ride out this summer?

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
I got fed up waiting for the weather last week and went out in the rain/wet quite a few times...it's only water, plus PR3's are a god send
I can highly recommend SDoc 100 cleaner too, good stuff that for ridding your bike of gunk easily! It is now very clean again and treated in ACF50 ready for a lot more rainy rides before the next clean

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
My bikes got its MOT tomorrow but im quietly confident, besides, its a Triumph what could possibly go wrong???
Got my third IAM rideout next week although i've barely practised - im supposed to be able to do a u-turn on full lock (within 2 car park spaces!!) I cant do it in a road, so theres not much hope!!! Not fussed about doing the exam at then end of the year so I guess its not vital Oh yeah, got a new bike last week.... one of those ones where you have to PUSH the peddles around, 8 miles around Graffham Water on Sunday and boy did my @rse hurt and that was after investing in a ladies gel seat I could've cried when we went through the main car park and there was about 100 lovely motorcycles sat there cos I wanted mine!!! I kept nodding as bikers passed cos I kept forgetting I was on a pushbike, doh!! Bet they thought I was a bit odd..... |
