Seems cheap enough for the intended purpse, I'd secure it with a metal bar across the whole of the door as an extra precaution

Or stick your summer bike in the loft & don't fret too much about the winter hack

The loft hatch is too small and the loft is too full of insulation to make that feasible. Even stripped down the bike probably won't go up there.....

Winter bike has died, so I'll be buying something new to ride through winters ahead. I need to get storage sorted before buying new winter ride....

Here Mav, do you see that stage 11 of this year's Tour will finish in Cauterets? Bloody poofs, not riding up to Cambasque! (we wont mention they will have already done the Aspin and Tourmalet in the previous 188km!)

We rock! We did Cambasque!

If Ernesto see's this, I think there's going to be a contract out on the owner who did this mod.

Why would you do this to such a beautiful bike. I know its not ruined, but I'd have done it to a lower budget frame

That picture makes me sad and happy

I'm sad because thats to nice iMHO a frame to do that to. But happy because whoever has done that has done it for a reason and if it means they keep cycling then fair play to them.

I was trying to think why you'd have the 2 wheels at the front, but i can't think of any logical reason, as to opposed as at the back. Obviously, it doesn't require a special trike frame & hardware and can be returned to normal if need be.

I would have had this done to a cheap heavier gauge frame, although as a former Colnago owner I can see why they'd rather adapt their favourite bike, so they can keep on riding it.

It must be ******* heavy steering & can't do the head tubes any good with all those extra forces going through them?

It will be far more stable in corners and brake better, I've never understood why all trikes aren't made this way.
