Should be free. Your NI contributions probably paid for production.
I seem to remember doctors complaining last year that the take up on flu jabs was well down on previous years and that there were left over vaccines that would just be binned. |

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
The last place I worked we had an outbreak of flu and people were off for several weeks. After that they gave us all the flu jab free.
When I started at MCC I suggested to the CEO that we offer the same to the staff here. He agreed, set it up, sent me 6 bottles of champagne for the idea, and now we have one day every October where we can get it done on site. If we're not in that day there's a drop in clinic in Fleet St. I always have it. But I seem to get ill at this time every year. Maybe it's the end of the cricket season but in the last few years I've managed to get guardia and shingles. This year I think I'm just knackered and the stress of an impending heel op has caught up with me. Still, got a week walking in the New Forest starting tomorrow, as I'm having my heel bone sawn in two the week after better walk while I can! Picked up my wheelchair today so Mr LPH can push me around post op.

Insurance companies refusing to take my money!!
I'm going abroad for a while, insurance expires while I'm away and I want to renew now. I don't want to rely on the auto renew as it's usually grossly inflated. My insurer and others won't cover me; they will only quote 28 days (or less) in advance. |

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
My car deciding to break down as I was pulling out of my road to go on holiday. Just left it on the drive and rented one for the week. Now driving a Vauxhall Insignia. It's ok I guess, the bucket seats are not that comfy, it's got no memory seats or parking sensors, I am required to switch the wipers on when it rains and the road noise on it is awful. But it got me to Hampshire.
