Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
I've got 2 weeks of injecting Clexane to prevent blood clots. It always hurts when the needle goes in and then stings like mad for about half an hour before coming up in a bruise. I have to inject in a different part of my tummy each day. I'll be like a dart board by next Friday.

you can tell it was private. The NHS haven't heard of preventative maintenance.

Funnily enough I don't have a bruise this year. Last year I was virtually stabbed with the needle. I'm sure my hurtio comes from my body fighting the new strain of flu they've given me

Been there. You have my deepest sympathy. I had those for some 200+ days in row. Took the last one in January of this year. Still have the bruises today. The lower part of the belly seems to be less painful in terms of bruising. The stinging is the same. However if you have any type pain meds take them a few mins before the injection and that can reduce the stinging down to as low as 5 mins. depending..

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
For some reason it seems to hurt more on the left than the right side.
I've decided to come off codeine. I was only taking a quarter of what I'd been prescribed anyway. They tried to give me Tramadol too and I said no to that as well. So instead I've just had a couple of man up pills today, also known as paracetamol, and taken my wheelchair to Waitrose to buy cheese and nice ginger beer. The crutches are hard work, the left one presses on my elbow scar tissue which is still very sore even 8 years later. Spent the evening watching old episodes of House series 3. Now that's enough to put anyone off getting hooked on opiates!

Send your son round to mine, he can put away the laundry, tidy the garden, empty the dishwasher, clean the cat litter tray and vacuum the house - all the stuff I can't manage right now! Faced with that lot he might fancy getting a career.

My new postman who pre prepares the 'I tried to deliver your package' card.
Me and my wife were both in & downstairs when he put it through the door with 2 other letters. No knock or ring of the doorbell.

Recruiters from big reputable companies who tantalise you with a great sounding role nearly a week ago and then never answer their phone. Where are they today then: at a client again, in a meeting, on a training session, on another line? Fine, I'll leave another message requesting a callback that will be ignored like the last two. Been between contracts now for a month and I'm getting seriously bored.
