The weather. Easy grumble I know but it was delightfully sunny here in Buckinghamshire today so after an early lunch I wheel the F out of the garage and set off towards Brill and it's pretty windmill. Last time I was there it was dull and it had leaden skies behind it so with the sun out and due to be on it's face in the early afternoon happy days. Not quite. Got ten miles towards it and the skies went as black as night so I had a genteel round trip instead and will have to try again another day. It's only 25 miles away so quite how it can have such different weather is crazy! Got home and it was blue skies again for the rest of the day...

Ha! When I lived in Edinburgh and worked in Perth, it was commonplace for me to leave an overcast and often drizzly Edinburgh, cross the Forth bridge and emerge into lovely clear weather. And vice versa coming home.

Stupid cold. Had it since Wednesday. Thought it had gone but it's now back again.

Went to Chirk Castle Trust 10k trail run with the hound. Forgot my running shoes. No run. Dog and I were not happy.

Waiting in airports. It's just so dull and unlike on the way out I'm travelling back solo without Coolgirl and Lewis the dog.

People who use the espresso machine at work but don't have a clue.

They must be drinking some foul coffee.

My chavy neighbour, Its fecking November and he has got a 1000 decoration bulbs turned on over his house, 3 raindeers and something phallic illuminated on where his front garden should be. Now I know why he got round to mowing his front jungle the other month.

His sole contribution to global warming must equate to that of a large village in some counties.

Decorations go up Christmas eve. Down boxing day. And an early humbug to you lot from me!
