Three trains taken out of service because the doors won't open due to it being winter. It takes Greater Anglia by surprise every year that it gets cold at this time of year.

Standing around on the platform for half an hour and I'm chillier than a polar bear's g-string.

I had my heated grips on full, liner gloves, Halvarsson Beryl's and still it hurt like hell defrosting my fingers under a warm tap when I got to work. Reet ******* cold today.
Not sure any glove would have been up to the challenge.

Out at 0630 this morning, heavyweight quilted overtrousers made their first appearance this year, Lidls 20 quid gloves on, hands were cold by the time I got into Central London, but not horribly so - the new Vstrom handguards on my SV are really making a difference!

Recruiters who know what your day rate is (this one has placed me before) sending me speculative job descriptions for something completely unsuitable at half my normal rate. I know they have sales quotas to hit but they know I've only just come off a contract so I'm not exactly desperate enough to grab at any passing role...

This morning when Stu got up at 7am he found the water pressure was really low so turned the stopcock tap on full. I didn't know this, and it turned out it was a problem affecting the whole village that was sorted out by 9am.

So when I came downstairs at 11am and turned on the tap to rinse my coffee cup the water came out with such force that it sprayed everywhere and my fluffy sweater, jeans, socks and the floor got absolutely soaked.

I was not happy 😠

Was supposed to be trading my old 4x4 pickup truck for a much newer small 4x4 suv after work tonight but they called today and asked if I could wait until tomorrow afternoon. Sure no problem.
Hit a deer on the way home tonight.
Major front end damage.

Bugger all. I think i need a drink.

Might have felt worse if you'd hit that deer with your brand new motor though eh?

Chin up big man. Have that drink.
