OK on the FOOD front, it seems that the consensus is to eat at the bunkhouse like so:-

Saturday - Breakfast and Dinner
Sunday - Breakfast

For those that can make it by 7:00 pm on Friday and would like dinner at the bunkhouse, please PM me so I can book your meal.

any vegetarians will also need to PM me to let me know they require a vegetarian meal.

OK - I would like some feedback on the rideouts. My main concern is the length of each day. Saturday is the big day and the route I have in mind is about 8-10 hours. Sunday will be a lot less, probably about 4 hours to allow folks to set off for home. Think in terms of hours on the bike rather than think in terms of miles. We can do more or less depending on what folks say here. Those with pillions will need to consider if their passenger can do that amount of time to.

Saturday we need to leave by 9.00 am and will return to the bunkhouse between 5.00 pm and 7.00 pm. I am aiming for 5.00 pm in order to have showers / change before dinner.

Sunday leave a bit later, but no later than 10.00 am. 4 hours or so riding to arrive at the Ponderosa between 2 and 3 pm. This can be a late lunch stop or just a tea stop if folks want a lunch stop on the ride. Folks can leave the Poinderosa to head for home.

So what do you think? 8-10 hours on Saturday to much or not enough?
Do we want a longer ride on Sunday?

8-10 hours is fine if in that time there are plenty of stops involved. what is the distance to be covered in.

I am hppy with 8 hours if i can stop plenty. Obviously my main concern will be shannon getting bored but with auto comm and and MP3 player hooked up we can keep chatting and bopping away in our own world.

I think any more than 8 hours would be hard work for me but will go with the majority. Neio how old is Shannon? what sort of experience does she have of riding pillion ie. has she been on the back for that length of time before?
