i know some people said it but you can be sacked a;lthough normally after taking the michael for a long time. My dad (who i dont see much) sacked a lady who was off for over 6 months depression and he was working for abbey national at the time, she took him to court but he won.
It is however unlikely, Andy p.s. i havent read all of it, no doubt someone will now say...but he has been sacked (sorry if you have :S )
