bloody brill Ed,yes can you post the route up, me and the mrs are off to bourg straight after the ar, which bits do reccomend or are there any bits you would rather not have done, spose the col where you dropped the bike, lol.
ED what do you reccomend about the peages ie, where to use them and where not cos it's better riding on the d roads, brill write up once again, cheers andy. |

Andy, the tolls are not that expensive, bikes pay one third of the price for a car, so for the € use the autoroute. It's far far quicker. Bits I'd rather not have done - well that hill was so damn steep, but you can get to Lake Champex another way, just stay on the main road and turn right further down. The road where I came off really is stupid steep. I'll post up a g-map of that day, it was otherwise an absolutely brilliant route. Otherwise, no, wouldn't have changed anything.

The Switzerland and Italy day. You don't actually go into Martigny. And, I've shown the steep road - if you stay on the main road and then take a right at Sembrancher, then you come to the same place (ish) - lake Champex is nice but you'll see several nicer.
