Re: NWR6 (North Wales Rideout) 23rd/24th April Accomodation Booking Thread
I don't mind the meals not coming out on the dot either. They aint exactly a resteraunt so must be difficult to get 20 meals out at the same time.

I thought it was brilliant.
You struggle to find a B&B for £30 a night. Granted this was a bunkhouse but you got Breakfast, evening meal, bedsheets for the price. You also got views, a good lounge with games, and animals... everybody loves animals.

Re: NWR6 (North Wales Rideout) 23rd/24th April Accomodation Booking Thread
I really enjoyed the familiarity of the place. Having been before I loved going back, and nothing from either visit would want me to choose somewhere else. I would put the late Saturday breakfast (which ended up not being that late for us) down to a one off mistake (sleeping in as a result of alarm clock sabotage ) I overheard the kayakers were charged £20 a night - presumably because of missed breakfast - so we may have to put up with them again

Re: NWR6 (North Wales Rideout) 23rd/24th April Accomodation Booking Thread
I think it`s a wonderful place and the hosts always go out of their way to make us feel welcome, Kate and her partner even remembered my name!! I love the location/views and it`s a bonus to have seen the lambs and piglets this time. The food is great and though I think the place could benefit from some soundproofing in fairness you`d get that wherever you stayed. Even in Travellodges where you`d pay double that price for just a room you would still get woken up by guests slamming doors etc.
I`d far rather pay money to someone who makes me feel valued so i`d look forward to going back again. |

I'd much rather stay in that place than a Travelodge. In fact if someone said you can stay in a Travelodge for free or pay to stay in Fynnon Wen I'd still go Fynnon Wen. I hate Travelodge's.....a lot.

£30 per person per night in a bunkhouse is expensive... if it was purely a bed for a night.
But the fact it includes both breakfast and very nice evening meals with pudding, plus all the bedding and facilities, with lovely hosts who seem very fair, in that location, makes it well worth the money. When we going back? |
