It broke. Subframe snapped cleanly on both sides. All I've done is commute on it.
Bit of a bummer really. Should have it sorted in a couple of weeks.

It's only had one previous owner and I've known him for years. Highly unlikely that it's been massively abused.
Seems to be a known fault on the Duke 2, to the point that it's passed into common lore on the KTM forum. An easy enough fix, just a pain in the **** since it means stripping down half the bike and I can't be bothered to do it. Hopefully I'll score the spare one I'm watching on ebay and then I'll throw it and some money at InMoto in Croydon to sort out. It has rather blown my "commuting by bike is cheaper than the tube" equation out of the water though.
