ditto - how are thay ever going to blame tyre chains when they've got firkin great ploughs scraping the Queen's H'way ?

Bus to Eccles town centre, tram from Eccles to Manchester , tram from Manchester to bury, bus from bury up the road to work could walk the last part about 20 minute walk.

ouch!!
I cycled the 4 miles to work today, really dont want to do that again, mostly uphill all the way, so homeward wasnt too bad, took me an hour to get to work, and was knackered as I dont do keeping fit!! car tomorrow if it hasnt snowed again, cant do that again. |

Snow chains are only legal in the uk providing they don't damage the road surface and looking at the original post these are more like ice breaker chains than snow chains.BMW.s are single side arm and the buckles are on the open side so as the SV is double sided there is a chance they could foul the swing arm .
Snow chains will not keep you upright as they are designed for forward momentum so if you do start to go sideways they are not a lot of help |

Seen that on another forum, looks like could be fun. Not sure how good it would be if you were to run out of snow and hit tarmac though

I know a nail can insta-lower tyre pressure, can't imagine what they are like with bolts in 'em. |
