Breathing ? We used to get Rat Tailed Maggots at the Dairy where I worked , they breathe through a long tube near their bum ......... replusive looking things .

Aaah these ones I found in some pretty stagnant water ........ nobody knew what they were so I did some Google-Fu and found out about them .................. <SHUDDER>

If I remember rightly they use their tails to waft water across their rear ends so they get oxygenated water in place, clever. Can't believe I'm discussing this on a bike forum LOL
