Feel free to join in with the planning. As I posted before I was thinking of something like Nottingham - Melton Mowbray - Oakham - Peterborough? - Cambridge - ?. I always maintained that Sat Navs were for people who couldn't read maps. Then I got one as a present and it changed my mind. Great for a through the night 1000 mile drive across Europe. Passenger managed to get some sleep!

We only ever do Europe on the bike, and I navigate from the rear

Don't think anyones gonna be bettering that unless a combination of mountains, lakes, rivers, trees and new roads are built ...and even then the view would be a bit ****ty.

The A1307 is a particular favourite of mine. Fantastic stretch of tarmac

That route looks pretty good to me!

I won't make this, the AR is on the same weekend as Kilted Ginger's wedding.
