Just fitted mine tonight, haven't got round to testing the voltage yet. Wired direct to the battery

Bike starts fine, battery seems to have survived too.

Indicators seem to be working normally, think this was a symptom of the RR dying, as they flashed erratically before, now normal speed.

Where did you get the fuse wire from. I've seen a 12ga fuse wire on eBay with 2 leads. Are these the ones?

Don't know, i bought this already made up by another Orger, it was off his old curvy. All i had to do was connect it to my loom, as it had a different plug to mine.

well if im right im going to use this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291728971046 then one end will go into the female part of the 2 pin waterproof connector and connect to the red wire of the reg/rec with the new male part of the waterproof connector. The other end will go into the positive part of the battery. then ill need the 12 ga black cable to go from the other side of the 2 pin waterproof connector and then to the negative on my battery. my cable i was going to buy looks like 16ga http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152051666690 any issue with this and using these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121926284624?var=420916941861. let me know if ive gone wrong lol I havent bought anything yet.

ok well did the mod tonight but noticed prior to this I had the extension harness on and mosfet says to take it off and the mod so this could have been the issue all along!!! anyhow I did the mod- all good. However I had good results all round 14v idle dippled lights. 13.5 idle full beam rising to 14v at 5,000.

heres my issue though lights off idle it was hitting 17.5- 18v!! now I have a new battery and reg/rec so cant be these is this normal?? the original mod page on this says 14v at idle full beam which is similar to mine to surley that would mean his was higher without any lights?? just wondering if I'm sat in traffic lights off my battery will blow me away lol?
