well all the talk of cake had taken it pretty sideways anyway and its not really much of a story. Someone stole something they shouldnt have.

Happens all the time doesnt it?

Agreed, its one thing to have a memorial to the dead of wars and another to maintain what what basically a torture chamber for some. I'd tear them all down personally and replace them with fitting tributes like the fields of crosses they have in france.

ive been to one of the concentration camp sites when i was serving in germany , it was a very sobering visit

My grandma "stayed" in some of the most luxurious places of WW2...Auschwitz, Birgenaum, Dahau! She and her 2 sisters were some of the very few to be free in the end of the world. All three of them had numbers tatood on their left arms as well.

She got through it cause she could translate between german, english, french and hebrew....

Have never visited any of the places as I feel quite strongly about it but as time goes by and seeing pictures or thinking of stories grandma was telling me, I might actually go.

Why though these people would take the sign F knows I can only think they must have been sick in their minds

A visit to one of the concentration camps is part of the school curriculum in Germany. When we went the place was filled with young teenagers, many visibly moved to tears by the things they saw.
