Need to sit on a load of differnt bikes and get a feel for all the different bikes/manufactures on the market but currently torn between a 2007 600rr or a 2005 blade.

Thoughts?
The reason I'm going for a 750 is because a thou is a bit heavy on the insurance front and a 600 is too dinky. It's a good compromise but, with 150bhp, not *that* much of a compromise!

As to your choice...they're both Hondas. What more can I say?

Good news on the points and fine Jon! The thing I am always thinking it: is bigger and sportier always better? Is the 1000cc gixxer the ultimate bike? It might not be you know.

I wouldn't get a thou yet.. I'd get a SS600 if I were you, get more experience then get a thou in a couple of years time when the insurance is more realistic..

I should coco.

Insurance for a ZX10R fully comp, been riding 5 years with 0 ncb thanks to filtering accident last year.............£1'982!!

Oh and If I were you I would gain some more riding experience first. Jumping from an SV to a litre sports bike is, well just nuts. And I'm Abnormal. A SS600 is very, very quick.

Its not that bad, I did it, curvy to tl1000 with a triumph bonneville inbetween and i never had a problem.

I supose i do have more miles than most though and had previously had a go on enough silly powerfully things to konw what i was getting into.

A TL1000 is in the same ballpack as a 750 four, not a litre four which is what's generally meant by "litrebike".

SV650, 69bhp
TL1000, 125-135bhp
GSXR750, 125-150bhp
ZX10R, 180bhp and up.

That's quite a jump.

All fair points. Most likely insurance will be stop me in my tracks anyway. The SS600 are great bikes and maybe I should get one of those as my long term keeper bike. In a few years time I will most likely be able to afford 2 bikes anyway!

Time to do some research... 600rr here I come!
