4 months it took me +smashed up bike smashed up ego and

a broken colarbone

,the bike is now ready to hit the road but ive got another 6/8 weeks before i can get back on it ,and what makes it worse the sun has been out and every bike seems to stop out side my house, few revs and off they go ,making me wana screeeeeeeeeem

Within 2 months of getting the SV. Woman pulled out of a side road on me. Nothing for 2 years then a low speed off on a mini roundabout in the icy conditions back in Feb.

I dropped the training school's bike during the CBT, had six months on an SR125 before ending up on my ear in the car park at work and had the Ninja for five months before parking it at 60mph on the parcel shelf of a Peugeot.

Thought I had it made with the SV: nearly five years incident free until December. The bike is fine but I nearly lost my favourite finger...

...yes, I AM a menace to my own destiny...

A couple months on my 50, around 2000 miles in.
Since then, covered over 20000 miles between another 4500 on the 50, 2000 on the ER-5 and 8500 on the SV without incident, excluding dropping and riding with the disk lock still on.

Years? I was 16, it was weeks, peaking at five in two weeks when I was 17. Managed a decade after that before doing it properly again.

I fell off my bike aged 5 and a half. It was a blue raleigh with stabilisers - following somebody else on a bigger bike down a big slope in the park - dented the metal railing - lost a lot of blood and needed 3 stitches in my forehead. Not done anything as stupid as that since then

only been ridin it about 2 - 4 weeks

Had a few off's during the first few years but went from 1981 -2008 with no offs or drops.
Mechanical problems caused my off last year... but was my fault for trying to ride it home that way.
Hope I can go that long again until the next one!
