Upgrading from 650 to 1000

Thank you Ratty. The reasons that you've given for liking the thou are exactly what I wanted to hear.
My 650 is ok but, for me, it's let down badly by naff suspension that kicks me out of the seat all over town and terrible on/off fuelling that it should never have left the factory with.
I'm considering a thou because it's extra weight and better suspension adjustability should offer a better ride, planted as you say, even if it is a little less flickable. And I'm also hoping the fuel delivery is better.
I'm considering a zx-9r but as you say, the SV1000 is a bargain.
