on my old zzr the footpegs were low and i went through a toe slider and was eating into my boot! so i know where your coming from lylej technique is the key and i aint got it.

I had this for a while too. You have to hang off what seems to be ridiculously far and bring your upper body down and to the inside of the corner too. You want too be gripping the tank with your outside thigh, like you said, and your outside arm should come down to rest on the tank too.

A trackday really is the best place to do it as there's loads of grip and you can keep doing the same corners over and over with a bit more speed and lean.

That MCN video is a very good explaination of it. "MCN" and "good" in the same sentence? George Bush will be making an intelligent comment next!

im getting there, i really am, im getting some of the race footpegs and stuff from JHS racing. i will touch down its just dam dangerous on the road and loads less disireable with your knee down and whilst doing so rear end a car.
but im getting there

Lyle I dunno if you've ever done a track day but when you get a corner right with your body real low and your head pushing out past the mirror you just know it aint gonna be that far away. I've got Brands in a couple of weeks and can't wait to try out Druids again! I would never even contemplate going fast enough on the roads around here to get the right angle. Think the very few track days I've done has made me even more wary of dangers on the road.

I wouldn't have said that buying rearsets and stuff would help too much would it?

it probably wont make any difference at all to be honest, but i just like the higher peg position, might enable me to keep my feet on my peg instead of reaching.

Get someone to take a pic of you hanging off. Then post it on here. It's so much easier to see what's going on from a picture!

And don't look down at your knee!

and have a look at this - remember the key is body positioning.
