I didnt even recognise the shapes as 2012 til someone actually said that was what it was. As an artist I find this "logo" an insult on the eyes.

Yes, it was just on the news this morning. The offending 5 seconds of epilepsy-inducing footage has been pulled. Anyone got a link online to the original version (with the footage in), I'd be interested in seeing it.

Absolutely head-wrecking advert, even if you're not epileptic.

Oh and it's a rubbish design too.
