Seriously though it would be fun to drive but its like a trike in a way, you get the speed of a bike but with none of the filtering advantages and because its not a proper car you don't benefit from any protection from the weather. Also I'm sure if you got hit by another car in that you may be worse off, at least on a bike you can separate yourself from the bike, there you are strapped in and would need to be cut out.

A good toy to have if you've got the money.

Great if you've got a dodgy knee and aren't allowed to ride a bike

Besides, it'll corner quicker than a bike and stop quicker too.

Its easier to wait 3 months for a well healed knee then get 38k together and buy it though

Technically its better than most bikes but the GSXR-1000 can go 0-100-0 again quicker than the Ariel Atom at a quarter of the price, the only vehicle faster is the Bugatti Veyron. Cornering that is true, the advantage of of four wheels and a hell of alot of grip, but I think corner speed would be more determined by the driver/rider

I was a bit scared. Think I'll have to go back another day. I emailed the bloke at Ariel yesterday to say thanks and stuff and he said the offer of a drive is still open if I want to go back...

Only car I have ever played with with that was as much fun as a bike was a turbo sierra with rather a lot of power, would love a go in an atom hehe
