Hmmmm, makes it a bit more problematic, I suppose I could make a run to Ambleside on the friday crash there for the night then meet up somewhere on the Saturday morning.....

But then I'd probably do the Dales on the Friday anyway

Have to see.

Cheers Mark.

I'm in.

Richie, can you sort the route or shall we get the oracle of the North, aka, Amarko, to sort one out?

Meeting at the Lancaster services worked well, just remember to check your chains!

Pete

Oh, and thanks Rob for volunteering to sort it, I forgot I had posted about it!

I'm ok to carry my kit on the back, Makes for better handling having some more weight
We did last year, Lancaster was the starting point, or stopping point as afar as the Greek was concerned #chuckle#

I'm easy either way, but I'll be travelling feather-light as always.

I'm pretty sure we rode with it last year, anywho it's one night no one'll be carrying much more than sleeping bag. whichever's convenient

How does this sound for a route?
It includes Hardknott and Rhinos pass, the Struggle and Kirstone pass, and Shap.
at the larl ratty we can stop just before the accent of Hardknott for a brew and Jam & cream scone.

Since were so close to Hartside it might be rude not to have a brew and a butty at the top...
