Very jealous! Have been wanting to see Within Temptation and Marilyn Manson for the past 5 years I don't think I'm hardcore enough for festivals anymore though...

Saw Metallica at Reading 2003... Not really into them myself, but I enjoyed it all the same

I WAS AT LEEDS THAT YEAR!!! Saw Metallica headlining on the Friday i think it was? Linkin Park Headlined the Saturday? It would have been the other way round for you guys in Reading. Oh, and you are never too old for festivals!!!
I've gone ahead and booked a weekend ticket to Download. Even if i end up going by myself, there's so many people there i'm bound to end up chatting to some like minded nutter! Sod it!!!!!

Yep that was it, Metallica on the sunday night, before the ceremonial burning of the tents! What a scorcher of a weekend it was!... I was in the pit for SOAD! I can't believe it now looking back!


Festivals and gigs - times when Im glad to be tall

Me too, I'm 5'9" plus 4" with my New Rocks so that makes me taller than most of the little EMO kids there. Defo taking the boots. I'm too impatient to wait for my toenails to grow back again!!

Went to Donington back in 1991 when AC-DC headlined. Drung the break before Metallica I clambered up to the top of a human pyramid & was promptly the target for all sorts of missiles. Eugh!
