Re: S&WS Camping Banter
There was a petrol station there as well a Shell IIRC, as I used it for a stop on a rideout I did, they sell sandwiches and pasties in the petrol station IIRC.
Burger King sounds fine to.

Re: S&WS Camping Banter
I've got an idea for lunch. As the rideout group will be meeting you lot at lunch time I suggest we meet at macdonalds barnstaple oposite the bmw garage, this is on route and gets lunch out the way to enjoy the ride. It's the only place I can think of that we can meet up for the rideout. How's that sound?

Re: S&WS Camping Banter
Sounds good to me.
Hovis - We'll be meeting the rideout group about 1pm (they leave TAUNTON at 11am)and the ride will take us about 3.5 - 4hrs. So back in time to get the BBQ fired up and make a bit of an evening of it. Also time in the morning for a good breakie, shower etc. TFA - The beers start whenever you want. I predict a few Friday night and a few more Sat night. Last edited by RichT; 26-04-09 at 06:01 AM. |

Re: S&WS Camping Banter
No mate - The plan if camping is to meet the rideout group at Barnstaple McD's around 1.
If you want to get up early and meet the rideout group at TAUNTON - go for it - its up to you. I'm sure some will fancy that. Personally I plan on an easy morning, shower, nice full breaky, then gear-up and head out. An afternoon in the saddle after roughly 3 hrs the ngt before and 3 hrs the day after suits me fine. Starting at 1pm is a wee bit late, but we'll be out for 4-5hrs ish. So back at the campsite around 6, that's perfect - Start BBQ at 7... Last edited by RichT; 26-04-09 at 06:02 AM. |
