Cheers for the tip, it wasnt a necessity but i wasnt breaking the speed limit and you can see a fair way down the road as there is a low hedge running alongside it, next time i will wait until im past it though

No worries. We've all done it, the point I'm making is that you should be careful what you do on film - and you've admitted that it wasn't necessary to perform the overtake at that moment.

I think, although I stand to be corrected, that this could potentially lead to a DWDC charge, so just be careful what you put on YouTube.

If you're not filming, or being watched, do whatever you like as far as I'm concerned, because then the risk is only that you be caught by an actual policeman, and there aren't many of those around it seems.

First day on the camera, so i will be a bit more careful when filming from now on, I have updated the vid now as well.

I think you'd find it hard to convince a copper that it was a 'necessity' to overtake that vehicle. Making progress isn't a necessity. Using them when turning right, or when passing a stationary vehicle is fine.

i have actuall come to the conclusion that it is windows movie maker that dictates the quality of the video, you need to save it in a higher quality so i will post up the better one which is more like the raw footage of the camera.
