My laptop did its first trip on the back of the bike yesterday round trip from Cardiff to Staines.
As you may remember from earlier in the thread I used a Targus backpack previously. I just put the back pack on the pillion seat - used a webbing strap under the seat around the bag, the shoulder straps around the tie down points and a cargo net over the lot as a last resort. I checked it along the way and back and it was rock solid. It was nicer than having it on my back and the fact the bag is really well padded should cover off any vibrations. Plus when I got there - I could wear it as a back pack again! Best of both worlds! NB - IMO it didn;t look too out of place on the pillion. Mike |
