Could also try the argument that to continue with the existing system would cost x number of lives with the only tangible benefit being some extra votes for the party that went along with it.That would be corrupt,and they are a bit sensitive about that just now.
What they are actually doing is to undermine the credibility of the research,as it has come up with the "wrong" answer.Thats what our corrupt system always does.If you cant win the debate,attack the people that are winning.

Now there's an idea - discredit the research that you commissioned and carried out yourself!

I'm more than a little miffed. Hopefully the fact that it's come out will make them stick by the findings. It's such a simple logical thing and they wan't to "bury" it? Shame they'll be burying a few more bikers too.

The are weapons of mass distraction on P2W thus we should not be allowed near bus lanes as we are a danger to the public, or something bogus like that.
