As far as roads go and once you've got the basics down pat, I can recommend heading north out of Plymouth across the moors to Tavi, and fancy seeing what the twisties are all about. From there, North Devon is your oyster and plenty of quiet roads to enjoy.

I am a little bit handy with a spanner, my best friend at Uni made me help him build his streetfighter. We did an engine build in the kitchen sink of his student house. Lol that's ace, I was in uni halls last year and they really didn't like it when I was rebuilding my mates FZR in the kitchen. Apparently 2 gallon of petrol next to the cooker and the ashtray is a fire hazard??? Poofs.

As for environmental sciences, there's loads of hippy muppets at leeds uni studying that, always fun when I'm leaving at the same time as them hehe

One of my housemates is currently working towards her PhD in an environmental science discipline, she owns a ZX-9R, an FZ400 rat-bike and a car. Her boyfriend has a Bandit 1200 that is lucky to manage 25mpg on a good day, an MZ150 that smokes like an early morning picket line and a 2.5 litre Vectra.

Congratulations on the purchase of the SV and good luck on the test. The guys and gals on here gave me some advice on passing my test and beleive it or not most of them were right.
